Thank you for visiting my website.  My name is Karen White and my company is K-Dub Designs which was established in 2009.

I create custom mosaic pet stepping stones and pet memorials.  You supply a photo or two of your four-legged best friend and I will create a mosaic stepping stone in its likeness.

"Dogs are not our whole life ... but they make our lives whole."                       -  - Roger Caras

"No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich." -Louis Sabin

Each stepping stone is twelve inches round and two inches thick and made of solid concrete.  They weigh approximately 21 pounds when completed.

Each stone is sealed with an outdoor grout sealer.  You can simply hose it off if its gets dirty.

Murphy was a territorial little guy who used to mark everything.  His owner wanted to remember him for what he liked to do best!  (At least he's not humping a leg!)

The price for a custom stepping stone is $49 plus $15 shipping, so $64 total.

Dodger has a hook on his collar to attach his tags where they will hang loosely from his collar.

Please allow three weeks for delivery.

The owner of these beautiful shelties (see below) wanted a stone to represent all of her shelties - past and present - so the names of all nine are included on this special stone.

And here are five of them at their home in Florida.

I currently only ship to the United States.  If you are interested in purchasing a stone to be shipped outside the U.S., please contact me before you place your order so that I can provide a quote for shipping.

I accept PayPal, check or money order.  To place an order, please go to my "Contact Me" page.

These stepping stones are a wonderful way to celebrate the life of your four-legged best friend.

Death leaves a heart ache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Memorial stones can include your pet's name, dates, a heart and even a hook on the collar as shown here where dog tags can be attached when you receive the stone.

There is no extra charge to add a name, dates, etc.  It is a way for you to personalize your custom stone to your likeness.

Thie example shows the dog tag hanging loosely on the collar.  The hook is embedded into the stone.

Most of the tile I use is given to me from Westcott Floor Covering here on Whidbey Island.  They are left over from tiling jobs.  Rather than toss them into the dumpster, I recycle them into these unique creations.  Thank you, Westcott Floor Covering.  Check them out at http://wescottflooring.brandsource.biz/

This example shows broken dishes for the background tile.

I can personalize the stone any way you like.  "Dulci" loved to ride in the back of the convertible with the top down, her cap and sunglasses on ... what a character!

Gus needed to look a little happier so I gave him a smile.

This is an example of a stone without a border.  The choice is up to you!

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.  You are his life, his love, his leader.  He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.  You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."                       -Unknown

Meet Chewie, a/k/a Chewbacca, Chewbalu and Chewba.  Is he cute or what?!

Yes, I do cats, as well.  I have even done rabbits, horses and a lot of garden art!  Check out my "Other Creations" page to view them.

I am located on beautiful Whidbey Island in Washington State and have shipped all over the United States.  I use USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate for shipping which just takes 2 to 3 days to arrive on your door step.

This sample shows the border giving a nice halo effect to the subject.

Each stone is sealed with an outdoor grout sealer.  If it gets dirty, you can simply hose it off.

Mary Calabray is a very special person with a soft spot for Bassets.  She volunteers with Las Vegas Basset Rescue which is dedicated to the rescue, healing and re-homing of Basset Hounds in need.  I am pleased to include a special page just for her on my website.

Each stepping stone is individually hand-crafted, and no two are alike.  I use an assortment of tile, including porcelain, granite and marble, and glass beads for a splash of color.

Yes, I've done horses, too!

And birds, too!

"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi-human.  The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog."         -Edward Hoagland

I am a member of Best Friends Animal Society and support their organization by donating a portion of my monthly sales to help them reach their goal of "No More Homeless Pets".  To find out more about Best Friends Animal Society, go to http://www.bestfriends.org

"A dog is the only thing on earth that will love you more than you love yourself."         -Josh Billings

"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face."                                                  -Ben Williams

"To err is human, to forgive, canine."  -Unknown

When I started making dog stepping stones, I began with silly, comical dogs.

BARK LESS ... WAG MORE!!!

But seriously, folks ...

Okay, so it's a cat, not a dog!

I can also include a red glass heart in lieu of a dog tag as shown in this example.

If you prefer a border around the edge of the stone, please let me know if you have a color preference.  I have all sorts to choose from.

This example show square stone tiles in lieu of glass beads around the edge of the stone.

Gift certificates are also available for purchase.  The cost is $64 which includes shipping to it's destination.  Gift certificates include detailed instructions to place an order.

Roo is a special boy with no front legs.  He lives happily in Florida with two other chihuahuas and a very loving owner.

Custom orders take approximately three weeks to complete.  I will send you an email when it is ready to ship.

I also sell on Etsy.  Check out my Etsy shop at www.dogstppingstones.etsy.com where some pre-made stepping stones are available for purchase.  You can order custom stones and gift certificates there as well.

Wody should not be alive today.  He was raised in a cage by a breeder and because of that, his legs were deformed.  He was set loose in Texas to be eaten by coyotes until a very special person in Boston heard about him, flew to Texas and rescued this special boy.  Her husband ordered this special stone for her as a Christmas gift.

And here is Wody today ... is he a handsome little guy or what?!!

Wody loves his tennis ball ... not to mention a roll in the grass!

I am committed to protecting your privacy and do not collect any personal information from you that you do not volunteer and I am the sole owner of all information collected on this site.  I do not sell, share or rent this information to others in any way.

Meet Daisy Hound.  Her owners used to sing to her, "How Much Is That Coon Dog In The Window".  Daisy used to look out the window and supervise when her owners were repainting the outside of their house.  Daisy Hound was a rescue, but according to her owners, she rescued them.

Never say never ... If something unforeseen should happen with breakage during shipment, simply send me a photo of the damage and I will gladly replace your stepping stone in a short turnaround time.  As each stone is one-of-a-kind, I will do my best to duplicate it.  I do not accept returns.

Colored tiles come and go since I use what is given to me from our local tile store.  They are either left over from tiling projects or are from sample boards -- so sometimes I have bright colors to use ... and sometimes I don't!

I can do a full body or just the face.  I can add a border if you like -- or none at all like the one pictured here.

Below are a few pics of our two girls, Josie (a Sheepdog/ German Shepherd/ Malamute mix, a/k/a a hunka hunka burnin' love!) and Chena, our beautiful Siberian Husky.  Their personalities are totally opposite which make them best buds.   They are also my best friends.  The love and joy they bring into our lives is immeasurable.

Double your pleasure; double your fun!

Beauty and The Beast!!!

Hi!  I'm Josie, a/k/a Jopie, Jo, Jopie-Jo, Jo-Jo-Bee!
