My dog stepping stone business began in April of 2009 because of a request from a very dear friend, Mollie Swope. Mollie asked if I would donate some of my mosaic stepping stones to WAIF (Whidbey Animal Improvement Foundation) for their annual fundraising auction. WAIF is our local animal shelter here on Whidbey Island and I was glad to help.
While I have been making colorful generic stepping stones for the last ten years, I had never made "DOG" stepping stones but thought I would give it a try. I had such a great time making them I didn't want to stop!
So thank you, thank you, thank you my dear friend, Mollie for making this all happen. You are a blessing in my life.
Mount Rainier over Whidbey Island on a beautiful summer day! So you see, it doesn't rain in Seattle all the time!
Looking out my window at all the thirsty hummingbirds.
An eagle landed on this driftwood pole at the beach and I couldn't resist taking a picture!
The view from our deck .. I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
Watching a ship pass by our deck. That's "Hat Island" directly in front of us.
One of the cutest dogs in the entire world and she's all mine! I love my Josie girl. She's a Humane Society special and we got her when she was just a pup. Now she's 113 pounds of pup (and it's time for a diet)!
Chena loves her new kitten! She is so gentle with her. Who says Siberian Huskies and cats don't get along?!
